Kamaʻole
“Childless” or “barren”
Kamaʻole means "barren" — this dry, sunny stretch of Kīhei had little rain and few streams. Now it is three friendly beaches divided by fingers of black lava rock.
Haleakalā rises softly behind, and the morning water is often as smooth as glass.
