Honokōwai
“Bay drawing fresh water”
Fresh mountain water once seeped into this little West Maui bay, and the name remembers it. Today it is a quiet, local beach where the shallow reef rocks hold warm tide pools at low tide.
Look across the channel and Molokaʻi rests on the horizon, close enough to feel like a neighbor.
