Sunrise Kope on the Lānai

Before the island gets loud, there is this: kope steaming in a favorite mug, papaya bright on a wooden plate, and the first clean lines of swell folding toward shore.

The lānai holds the morning gently. Palms are still mostly silhouettes, the railing is cool under one hand, and every breaker arrives with the same soft reminder to begin slowly.
