Rain-Leaf Tree Frogs
After rain, the smallest residents become easiest to find. Jewel-toned tree frogs settle into leaf cups and moss pockets, their toes bright against the green and every water drop making them look newly polished.
They are tiny enough to miss if the garden is treated as scenery. Look slowly and the whole rainforest changes scale: a bromeliad becomes a roof, a leaf becomes a balcony, and a frog becomes a bright little neighbor.
