The Tide Takes the Castle

The towers lean, the walls carry fingerprints and one side was never quite finished. A bucket, shovel and small mold lie where their builder dropped them, because a real sandcastle is made for delight rather than perfection.

Then the tide reaches it. Foam slips through the doorway, one tower drifts back toward the sea and the beach makes room for tomorrow's castle.
