Honu over the Reef
Honu — green sea turtle
A honu does not seem to swim so much as glide, each slow stroke holding the water as if it were sky. Below her, coral heads shelter yellow tangs and tiny wrasses, every fish choosing its own lane of light.
Green sea turtles return again and again to familiar resting and feeding places. Watching one pass over the reef is a lesson in belonging without hurry: know the current, trust the body, keep moving gently.
