Pāʻia Bay

Pāʻia Bay

“Noisy”

Pāʻia is said to mean "noisy," perhaps for the surf that tumbles onto its sand. The little town beside it was once full of sugar mill workers and is now full of surfers and artists.

At golden hour the palms lean over the beach and the waves turn to light.
