Raccoon in the Rays
A raccoon butterflyfish drifts close to the lens, its golden body glowing and the bold black mask across its eyes giving it the look of a small bandit in disguise. Sunlight rains down behind it in bright, scattered beams.
Butterflyfish often travel as devoted pairs, tracing the same paths over the coral day after day. This one lingers for a curious moment, then slips back into the warm glow of the reef.
