Kope and Papaya

Kona coffee grows on the slopes of Hualālai and Mauna Loa, where morning sun, afternoon cloud and volcanic soil line up almost perfectly. It has been farmed there since the 1820s, mostly on small family lots.

Papaya with a squeeze of lime is the standard island breakfast. Add the coffee and a view of flat water and there is no reason to hurry.
