The Waving Meadow
Garden eels spend most of their lives anchored tail-first inside burrows. Facing the current, they lean out to catch drifting plankton while keeping a quick retreat just below.
A whole colony bends in the same flow like tall grass in wind. Approach too closely and the meadow disappears into the sand, one eel after another.
