Two Leaves in the Current

Leaf scorpionfish are shaped like curled leaves and even sway with the water, completing the disguise. They can slowly change color after molting, though the transformation may take weeks.

They wait without hurry for tiny fish to pass close, then inhale them in a sudden gulp. On a colorful reef, pretending to be a leaf is an excellent way to vanish.
