Spiny Lobster
Ula — the Hawaiian lobster
The Hawaiian spiny lobster, ula, has no claws — its defense is a set of long spined antennae and a startling rasp it makes by rubbing them together. It hides in lava ledges by day and walks the reef at night, and its shell can be a painted mix of violet, rust and gold.
