Sunset in the Nahele
Nahele — forest, grove, wilderness
Near sunset, the canopy stops feeling entirely green. Low light slips between banyan trunks, catches the hanging roots and turns the edges of every fern to gold.
The nahele holds the day's moisture in its leaves and moss. For a few minutes the mist becomes visible in the sunbeams, and the whole forest looks like a room built from light.
