Laukahi

Laukahi

Used for: drawing out splinters, thorns and infection, plus insect bites, boils and small wounds. Its name means 'single leaf.'

How to use: warm or bruise a fresh leaf, lay it over the spot, and bind it with cloth or a ti leaf overnight — it pulls what is under the skin to the surface. A tea of the leaves was taken for the stomach.
