Goats on the Pali

It looks almost impossible, but feral goats really do travel Maui's steep cliffs and rough lava ledges.

Their split hooves spread for balance and grip irregular rock, letting them reach terrain that cattle cannot—though their browsing and erosion can seriously damage native habitat.
