Island Feast

A Hawaiian plate lunch — two scoops rice, mac salad, and something grilled — grew out of plantation lunch pails shared between Japanese, Filipino, Portuguese, Chinese and Hawaiian workers. Pineapple on the side is the plantation's own signature.
