Sesame Ginger Tofu Steak

Sesame Ginger Tofu Steak

Serves 2

Ingredients

  • 14 oz extra-firm tofu, pressed
  • 2 tbsp low-sodium shoyu
  • 1 tbsp grated ginger
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 2 baby bok choy, halved
  • ½ cup shelled edamame
  • ¼ cup chopped macadamias
  • Sesame seeds and scallions

Directions

  1. Cut the tofu into two thick steaks and pat dry.
  2. Whisk shoyu, ginger, sesame oil, and honey; brush half over the tofu.
  3. Sear tofu in a lightly oiled skillet for 4–5 minutes per side, adding the remaining glaze at the end.
  4. Quickly sauté bok choy and edamame; plate with tofu, macadamias, sesame, and scallions.
