Kamani

Kamani

The shoreline tree whose nut gives healing oil

Used for: soothing dry or damaged skin, softening scars, calming rashes and easing sore muscles with oil pressed from the nut.

How to use: buy cold-pressed tamanu (kamani) oil and massage a few drops into skin, a healed scar or a tired shoulder. Patch-test first, and avoid it if you have a nut allergy.
