Weke and Taʻape River
Weke and taʻape — golden reef fish moving together
Golden weke and vivid taʻape stream over the reef in a river made of fins. Damselfish dart between coral branches while butterflyfish hold their places along the edge of the great procession.
The school catches every shaft of sun and carries it forward. For a few breathless seconds, the whole coral shelf seems to flow toward the open sea.
