Storm Light over Kula

Kula — open country, and Maui's high district of farms and sweeping views

Upcountry weather can change from one pasture to the next as moist air rises against Haleakalā.

A rain curtain and a shaft of sunlight can share the same view, feeding the farms while turning the slopes almost luminous.
